Please clarify as to whether such a judgement of the HC of Punjab & Haryana entitles the retired Ex- Airmen of erstwhile Ist group (Fitter), with 10 years experince, could apply afresh for issue of a degree Certificate (B.Tech/B.E. instead of Diploma Certificate)

Think positively. There are many in Govt services with a Bachelor Degree (Equivalent)awarded by the Defence Services, where the post carry a minimum Degree Certificate requirement. My question not whether Armed Forces are "Collection of fools commanded by Idiots" but could we apply afresh for issue of a degree Certificate (B.Tech/B.E.)
Once you are issued with Diploma certificate by IAF you can claim for the B Tech certificate there is no point of question in that.
Mr Rajan, I am K N ARUN KUMAR, Ex-Sgt Instrument Fitter. I applied for Equalant Graduation certificate and I have received the same. Let me explain, as per letter issued by Social welfare and Education, GOI a Diploma holder with 10 years continuous service in the same field is treated as equalant to B.Tech/B.E, for the purpose of employment in the Gazetted posts of Central or State Govt. Mr. Nair you apply for graduation certificate by giving your details service to AFRO and get graduation certificate.

Will the degree-equivalent certificate of ministry of defense be at par with any degree certificate issued by any university such that any post-graduation course could be done with this equivalent certificate as the base? Could someone comment on this please?
