APPEAL TO ALL 'X' GROUP VETERANS IN WP(C) NO.796/2023 OF HON'BLE SUPREME COURT

Dear Veterans, I am one of the 43 petitioners in WP (C) 796/2023 in Hon’ble Supreme Court which is posted for hearing on 05.01.2026. As already explained we are the people to file the case first in Hon’ble Supreme Court and the MoD has filed counter only in our case. All others filed cases tagging our case are tagged as connected matters which are still pending for some action. Since all the petitions are similar, what ever the decision taken by the Hon’ble Supreme Court, will be made applicable to connected matters. In this connection, all the Veterans are requested to support this case so that we are not losers. In case, our case is dismissed by not hiring an able senior advocate, we all are losers including the petitioners in connected matters. It is also seen that Secretary of some ‘X’ group has issued a misleading statement not to support us financially. All the Veterans can check the status of the case online, with link https://www.sci.gov.in/case-status-case-no/ and know the truth. Because of ego these people, our case was delayed, if it is decided otherwise, all these associations and the collection of huge funds are of no use. Therefore, we request all the ‘X’ group Veterans joined in any Association or Group to understand the issue and support for the cause. All the funds received will be utilised for the case in WP (C) 796/2023 only and it will be transparent.

I, Arun Bhowmik, am also one of the 43 litigants in Hon’ble Supreme Court of India case number WP(C)-796/2023. Everyone can search the status of the case in court website. This not only a case of few X-group Air Veterans but all retired employees of central government and state government. As we are challenging government concept of bifurcation of extension of benefits to the retired government employees based on date of retirement. Don’t forget government has passed validation of pension rules in budget session 2025. Now government has applied that principle to X-group pensioners of armed forces and divided the between Pre & post 2016 retirees. Tomorrow it may the turn of Y-group retirees and next may be all the civil and defence service retirees. The case was first initiated by Sushil Kumar Chowdhary with other 42 Air Veterans. Now the case is at crucial juncture and we need a Senior Supreme Court Advocate to plead our case as face renowned advocate matters in court. So please donate to the cause generously so that we all get a favourable judgement.
